Darren is a star, he came out of his way to find my keys at no charge. Thanks very much.
We run a mens veterans football team and played our first league match recently. One of the players took his wedding ring off before the game and left it in a tracksuit top. This was subsequently used by substitutes and the ring dropped out. After the game the player noticed the ring was missing and a manual search ensued with no luck. I literally then came home and googled and found Darren's website - I emailed a speculative enquiry and was contacted within 10 minutes. Darren then met me at the pitch a couple of days later and started the search. It was without joy but he told me he would return the following weekend and he did with other members Ken and Mariana Gratton - this time they found the ring which was embedded under soil and the wedding ring was returned to the rightful owner who is now over the mood and back in favour with his wife!!. On behalf of SSS Vets and Matthew Howell I cant thank Darren, Ken and Mariana enough - massive gesture to go and look not only once but twice - THANK YOU
My wife lost her wedding ring and engagement ring on Canford Cliffs beach, we looked for two hours, knowing they were within a few metres, but could not find them. One phone call to Darren and within an hour he had dispatched Seb, our new hero, who cooling arrived, spent all of 30seconds searching and produced the rings magically from the sand. I'll never forget the tinkling sound they made as he shook his sand sieve, before appearing, sparkling in the sun. You guys have made our month. Thank you.
Simon and Jayne.
Have faith, there are decent people out there!
Yesterday we went to the beach, messing around in the sea i managed to lose my wedding ring! We tried looking for it but after an hour or so gave up. I was searching online for some advice / metal detecting services and came across Bournemouth Detecting, sent them a quick message explaining that I had lost my wedding ring etc. and within 5mins had a call from Darren Wiles informing me that low tide was in about 30mins and that he could meet me there! I jumped in the car and drove down to Mudeford, met Darren and began searching the beach - after about an hour we had found a 50p piece and under the hot sun needed a break!
At this point i was loosing faith that we were going to find it, it fell off in the sea and the tide was on it's way back in...
After a quick pit stop Darren was keen to keep looking for me, after a further 20minutes his metal detector had found something. Darren started digging under the water - he pulled up a few stones, got a face full of water and then pulled up my Wedding Ring!!!
What are the chances?! Wedding ring falling off in the sea and then finding it some 20 hours later!
The most astonishing thing about this experience is that Darren Wiles wouldn't accept any financial reward for helping me find my wedding ring, he was just happy that he was able to help.
